Jen Aniston & Steve Zahn Dish about Onscreen Intimacy
Asked if he looked forward to getting to grab Aniston's famous derriere – even though he plays a woefully awkward suitor – Zahn told PEOPLE, "Of course – especially those scenes because they were so hysterical."
Filming the intimate moments were made easier by Aniston's easygoing nature, Zahn said Tuesday at Tommy Hilfiger's Cinema Society screening of the film in New York. "We had to do it so many times. It's so weird, very awkward and bizarre," he says. "[But] she's a pro, a gifted actor, humble, modest, a genuinely kind person. She has no agenda."
Continuing to gush about his costar, Zahn added, "She's just a really beautiful person. "
And Aniston seems to feel the same way about Zahn, who once appeared on Friends. "[He's] the best, my favorite,” said Aniston, who wore a form fitting gray Balenciaga gown to the premiere. [He's] my absolute love. I've known him for so many years."
As for the butt-touching scenes, Management director Stephen Belber says they were created to display the characters' "odd intimacy. [They are] seeking intimacy and they didn't know how to do it."
Asked if Aniston gets her hands on Zahn's buns too, "I do," she told PEOPLE, without elaborating on the plot. "It was great!"
