Alex Curran Becomes a WAG

Alex Curran is the wife of Liverpool footballer, Steven Gerrard. They have been dating since 2002 and married on 16 June 2007. Together they have two daughters, Lilly-Ella and Lexie.

WAGs have their fair share of controversy and Alex Curran is no exception.

In 2006, she was accused of assault when she was involved in a fight in the Liverpool city centre at a restaurant. A teenaged girl was jammed in the face with a glass bottle. Alex Curran was released on bail and the charges were later dropped. She was also involved in a disagreement with singer and former WAG, Jamelia.

When Jamelia described the WAGs as “leeches”, Alex Curran responded in an OK! magazine interview, stating, “She’ll be glad to know I don’t know her boyfriend’s name but Steven thinks he’s lower than a non-league player.”

Alex Curran’s Career

Although not yet confirmed, Alex is rumoured to have secured a job as owner of a shop selling designer baby wear for Dior and Armani. She’s also become the latest WAG to release her own perfume.

Shopping with Alex Curran

Alex is often seen out shopping with fellow WAG Jordan. Alex, an avid shopper, has no qualms about spending and recently splashed out £1,000 on a designer handbag. Quite at home in the shops of Liverpool, rumour has it that she’s banned her husband from ever leaving the town. Even if she isn’t seen out a lot, Alex Curran is definitely on the radar as one of the most influential WAGs in their partner’s lives.

Alex seems to have found the perfect balance between her career and shopping by writing her weekly column for The Daily Mirror entitled “Go Shopping With Alex Curran”.

Hitting the Nightclubs

Not only do Alex and Jordan shop together, they also enjoy partying together. On a recent night on the town, Alex and Jordan seemed to have hassles getting into their favourite nightclubs. After trying to get into the Shadow Lounge, Embassy and Sin, they settled for Ballands in Soho, where they stayed until the early hours of the morning.

Cosmetic Surgery

Alex Curran reportedly had breast implants before her wedding. Despite attempts to keep it low key, the news was exposed at their wedding when the best man jokingly told shocked relatives that Steven Gerrard’s greatest success was to have his wife’s breasts enlarged.
