Jordana Brewster Biography

Jordana Brewster is a Panama born American actress who has done notable roles in many famous Hollywood motion pictures like The Fast and the Furious, Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning, The Faculty, D.E.B.S., and Annapolis. She was born in the Panama City, Panama in April 26, 1980. Her father Alden Brewster is an American investment banker and her mother Maria is a former sports illustrated swimsuit model from Brazil.

She had a nomadic childhood and she traveled through many countries. When she was two months old she left Panama. After leaving Panama she spent six years in London and after this period she journeyed to her mother's native Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. But her stay in Brazil did not last too long and when she was ten years old, she left Brazil and shifted to Manhattan, New York, where she would live for the next fifteen years.

Brewster studied at the Convent of the Sacred Heart in New York and graduated from the Professional Children’s School in New York. She then enrolled at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut, graduating in 2004. Her paternal grandfather Kingman Brewster, Jr. was president of Yale from 1963-1977.

During Jordana's time in Brazil, she got a small part as one of many children who danced on the popular kids show, "Xuxa against Evil." It didn't take Jordana long to realize that she wanted to be an actor. When she moved to New York in the United States of America, she attended a school for girls where she appeared in numerous theatrical performances, one of which was Godspell, where she played the part of Jesus Christ.

She wanted to pursue her career in acting and for this she joined the Professional School for Children. While schooling. It was during this time Brewster made her debut on the daytime soap opera, All My Children, in a one-time appearance playing Anita Santos. Later she made a comeback to the show and appeared in the show from 1995 to 1998.

Later Jordana made her most famous movie appearance as Mia Toretto in the movie The Fast and the Furious (2001). She played criminal mastermind Lucy Diamond in Angela Robinson's 2005 film, D.E.B.S. Her most current role is "Chrissie" in The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning, which was released on October 6, 2006. She was recently cast in the upcoming show known as "Mr. and Mrs. Smith". The show will pickup 6 months after the events of the movie Mr. and Mrs. Smith with her playing the role formerly donned by Angelina Jolie.

Jordana is a very lively person in her real life and she loves to accept challenges and do great things. From 200 to 2001 she dated Mark Wahlberg and has also recently dated Derek Jeter and Jay Penske. In 2002 Stuff magazine named her the 96th hottest woman in their “102 Sexiest Women in the World”. In 2005 Maxim magazine named her the 54th sexiest woman in the world in their annual Hot 100. In 2006 Maxim ranked her at #59 on their Hot 100.

Brewster recently got engaged to Andrew Form who worked as a producer in one of her movies and in an interview with a U.S weekly she told that “It wasn't a total surprise, but it was very spontaneous. It's going to be a pretty small destination wedding -- next November."

She has a pet cat and its name is Delilah, which she named after her character in the movie The Faculty. Jordana loves acting and she wouldn’t trade her celebrity status for anything in the world, but currently she is focusing on her studies in the Yale University.
