Biography

Katarzyna Strusińska was born November 23, 1987, in the small Polish town of Ciechanów. A natural beauty, she was discovered at the age of 16 by an enterprising fashion scout. Kasia Struss soon embarked on a career as a runway model with shows for Louis Vuitton and Miu Miu during Paris’s prestigious Fashion Week in October of 2006.

The brief introduction into the world of high fashion whetted her appetite for more and Kasia Struss, as she had now become known, soon landed major advertising campaigns for Jil Sander, Valentino and Aquascutum. She also returned to the catwalk with shows for a veritable who’s who of A-List designers including Anne Klein, Calvin Klein, Dolce & Gabbana, Donna Karan, Emilio Pucci, Gucci, Jill Stuart, Marc Jacobs, Chanel, Givenchy, and Roland Mouret. Kasia Struss’ meteoric rise within the industry prompted Style.com to name her one of the top then newcomers of the season and WWD, W and British Vogue all anointed her as one of fashion’s freshest new faces.

Kasia Struss truly came into her own in 2008 when she appeared in a staggering 75 runway shows over a four week period, making her one of the most booked models of the season. She also branched out into editorial work with stunning spreads within the pages of French Vogue, Numéro, Dazed & Confused, i-D, and Another magazine. The added exposure paid major dividends and she was soon signed to appear in prominent promotional campaigns for Christian Dior and Gucci, thereby extending her personal brand even further.
